2005 Cooperator of the Year!
Insanity Acres was chosen as the 2005 Cooperator of the Year for their involvement with both SWCD and NRCS programs. Randy Peterson accepted the award for his family at the Delta Farm Forum in March. The Cooperator of the Year is awarded annually to District Cooperators who show commitment to protect and conserve soil, water, prime and unique farmland, rangeland, woodland, wildlife and other renewable resources on local land. The Cooperator of the Year Award (or Goodyear Award) has been awarded in Delta Junction since 1967. (Salcha-Delta Soil & Water Conservation District, Conservation Corner)

2002 Cooperator of the Year!
"Insanity Acres, a farming partnership between Bobby and Brenda Peterson and their son and his wife, Randy and Becky Peterson, has been named as the 2002 Cooperator of the Year. Insanity Acres is located in the Sawmill Creek area and produces hay and grain. The Peterson family was honored for their commitment to quality farming practices and their active land stewardship, which led to the successful installation of a Conservation Reserve Program wildlife pond. The pond was the result of a cooperative effort between the Petersons, NRCS and the District. A "Cooperator of the Year" sign was presented to Randy Peterson at the 2003 Annual Delta Farm Forum. The award ceremony was followed by a presentation from Peterson on the development and installation of their wildlife pond". (Salcha-Delta Soil and Water Conservation District)
